BLUE GRASS
ACTION NETWORK

Smarter growth for a stronger Blue Grass community

Action Blue Grass (4).png

The Blue Grass Action Network brings neighbors together to champion responsible development that respects our community's character and protects our quality of life.

We're not anti-development. We're pro-planning that is mindful and considerate of existing communities. We support affordable housing and economic opportunity. We welcome progress that complements our neighborhoods rather than overwhelming them.

And that means planning infrastructure before approving density, respecting the rural-suburban charm that makes Blue Grass special, and ensuring our children have quality schools without trailers, overcrowded classrooms, and limited resources.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

SCHOOLS ARE

AT CAPACITY

Blue Grass Elementary students are learning in temporary trailers. Teachers have nowhere to eat lunch or take breaks as every available space has been turned into a classroom.

TRAFFIC/SAFETY CONCERNS

Ebenezer Road faces growing congestion and safety concerns without any planned infrastructure improvements.

GOVERNMENT ISN'T LISTENING TO US

In one case, residents received just two days notice about major zoning changes. The Planning Commission & County Commissioners have shown total lack of disregard for residents' concerns.

INFRASTRUCTURE

STRAIN

Smart communities add capacity and improve infrastructure before adding density (AKA more people). Growth that hurts our quality of life isn't progress.
